The Abergavenny Foodbank will be closed on Good Friday – 7th April. However, it feels like a week would be a long time between session at the moment. So the Foodbank will be open to give out food parcels to people who have been referred on Thursday 6th April from 13.00-15.30hrs. The Foodbank will then be open at the normal times from Tuesday 11th April onwards.
The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of food banks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Fourteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year close to 3 million emergency food parcels were distributed to people in crisis.
